dildo-protest Brainwashed UT Students Use Sex Toys To Protest Guns dildo protestHundreds of leftist students are planning to stage a protest against new laws which will allow people to carry weapons on campus – by strapping dildos to their backpacks. [1] Jessica Jin, a student at the University of Texas in Austin, set up a Facebook page called “Campus (DILDO) Carry” event for the first day of the autumn term after a controversial new law which allows students and people on campus to carry guns comes into force. From 1 August, student and faculty members at public and private universities across Texas will be allowed to carry concealed handguns in lecture theatres, common rooms and dormitories. She invokes the argument that allowing more guns on campus will make students safe is a fallacy. She’s urging students to send campus leaders that message by strapping on the plastic phalluses. [2] “‘You’re carrying a gun to class? Yeah well I’m carrying a HUGE DILDO,'” Jin says in the group’s description. “Just about as effective at protecting us from sociopathic shooters, but much safer for recreational play.” [2] But Ms Jin believes it is ridiculous that this will now mean that there is more restrictions on sexual expression than there is on carrying lethal firearms. She wrote: “The State of Texas has decided that it is not at all obnoxious to allow deadly concealed weapons in classrooms, however it DOES have strict rules about free sexual expression, to protect your innocence. “You would receive a citation for taking a dildo to class before you would get in trouble for taking a gun to class. Heaven forbid the penis.” Up until 2008, it was actually illegal to own more than six dildos in Texas, according to the Huffington Post. [3] [11] In response she has called on her fellow students to protest against the new law by strapping dildos to their backpack in protest using the slogan “Cocks Not Glocks”. Since the wielding of a giant phallus in public technically violates the state’s obscenity laws, Jin warned participants to engage in the protest at their own risk. But she also offered an interesting visual to consider: “But can you imagine the gongshow that would be [UT Police/Austin Police] trying to chase down thousands of students wielding harmless dildos around campus?” [3] Over a 1,000 people have already clicked attending on the event but several others have attacked Ms Jin for her “childish” protest. More than 4,100 people had signed up to participate by Monday morning. What the Houston Chronicle calls a “strap in” will commence on Aug. 24, 2016 — the beginning of the school year and several days after the law takes effect in the state. [2][3] Jin has also vowed to try to get a dildo supplier involved should enough people get on board with the protest. Nice dildos can be expensive, after all. [8]

The new “campus carry” law has been hailed by pro-gun lobbyists as making it easier for people to “protect their loves ones” and stop making people “inadvertent criminals”. Currently, people are allowed to carry concealed handguns in the grounds of universities but it is illegal to take them inside any public building. But the University of Texas’ Chancellor William McRaven, a former Navy SEAL admiral who lead the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, said campuses weren’t the place for guns. He told CNN: “I like guns, but I just don’t think having them on campus is the right place. “I have been shot at before. And so I know what and how people react when they are being shot at. So if you aren’t trained in that environment you probably aren’t going to react the way people think you will react naturally.” [22] The leftist media outlet Patheos, who consider this law as an exemplification of America’s “perverse fetish for guns”, think that this dildo-carry is the best idea since sliced bread:The push-back against open carry is a welcome and humorous response to the perverse gun culture infecting much of the United States. ” [6] Refinery29 called the ideas of such a protest “ingenious” and “hilarious.” [9] Hippie students and leftist professors in the state of Texas have already expressed worry that allowing guns in campus buildings will have a chilling effect on free speech, since the fear of being shot could hamper class debate and discourage disagreement in classroom settings. [3] Over 280 professors and counting have signed a petition calling the new legislation a “direct assault on our free speech rights.” [22] Earier the same week, Economics Professor Emeritus Daniel Hamermesh withdrew from UT out of “self protection.” [22] Claudia Garate, 27, a graduate student at UT Austin, told The Daily Beast she remembers when her campus was locked down in 2010 after a 19-year-old math major fired shots from an AK-47 before killing himself. The arguments of gun-rights advocates, who have been trolling the Campus (DILDO) Carry Facebook page, do little to quell Garate’s fears about the law. “The arguments that are pro-gun carrying… so many are centered around hate, misogyny, and racism,” she said. “It’s a lot of hate from these people trying to defend this law, and that’s the scariest part.” [12] “Because on one hand, they say they want to defend people and are obsessed with this idea of being a vigilante,” she added. “[On the other], the young woman who organized this is receiving death threats.” Indeed, the sex-toy brigade’s social media has been inundated with abuse. “I’m guessing that the organizer of this event is a huge slut. Should be funny to watch!” wrote Ron Cox, a Facebook commenter from Mississippi. “I’m going to post all of your pictures on Facebook so your fathers can see how their daughters act at a liberal college,” a Texan named C.W. Cooper wrote. “Skanks all of them,” a commenter named A.J. Hands wrote. “I think the guys should all walk around with rubber boobs on and crying everywhere, no problems with that huh ladies?” [12] However Allison Peregory, chairwoman of the Young Conservatives of Texas, added: “I don’t think UT will suddenly become the Wild West with open carry and guns flying. It’s not a foreign concept. Campus carry is not this new radical thought process.” [5]
